![]() ![]() Suni had the highest All-Around score on Day 2 in the Trials, beating Biles for the gold and securing the 2nd place spot on the team coming in 2nd all-around in the 2-day trials. She has stated in interviews that it’s sometimes challenging for her to stay motivated with everything changing so much with COVID, her dad’s injury/recovery and also losing multiple family members due to COVID. The extra year between 20 when the Olympics is finally here, has been somewhat of a challenge for Suni. Suni’s coach, Jeff Graba, has said that they’ve been training for this moment for the past 10 years. One of her first coaches has said that she was throwing olympic skills on beam since she was 8 years old. She fuels her body with healthy proteins, fruits and veggies to keep her body functioning at its best. Biles trains 7 days a week (Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays she trains twice a day and Thursdays and Saturdays she trains once a day) and in addition to 5-6hrs/day of gymnastics practice, she also incorporates cardio, cross-training, toning and weight training. She had a little bit of a rough time on Day 2 of the trials, however, in true Simone Biles fashion, she dominated despite the challenges of Day 2 in the trials.
